Skyward, an established provider of technical services and solutions for SMS and VoIP carriers, is pleased to announce that our employees have successfully completed RCS training and are now able to provide expert support and assistance in implementing and troubleshooting RCS requests for our customers.
With significant market demand, RCS was developed as a successor to SMS (Short Message Service) and MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) to offer a more modern and feature-rich messaging platform. It is designed to bring the functionality of popular messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger (read receipts, typing indicators, group messaging, high-resolution image, video sharing, etc.) to the default messaging app on smartphones.
As the RCS protocol has become more widespread, new challenges have arisen. Judging from our experience, the majority of our partners lack the necessary expertise to establish an RCS connection, finding themselves lost in documentation.
